Your New Writing Partner
Make time for your writing with the Word x Word Accountability Planner.
You love writing, but your crazy schedule keeps getting in the way of your novel-writing dreams.
You know you could be the next Suzanne Collins or Brandon Sanderson. Every waking minute of your life is consumed by your daydreaming – about your characters, your setting, your plot, and your themes.
You can’t stop picturing yourself signing your own books at the local Barnes & Noble, doing interviews with bookish podcasters, or going on a cross-country reading tour.
But somehow, life keeps getting in the way.
Maybe you’re a first-time author who’s never had to do the “self-accountability” thing before. Maybe you’ve published a book or two in the past, but your life circumstances have changed, and now it’s much harder to find (or make) time to write.
Maybe you’re a parent. Maybe you have a demanding day job. Or maybe you’ve just never been good with routines.
It’s time for REAL accountability. It’s time for a system that works.
The Word x Word Accountability Planner has everything you need to create – and stick to – a writing routine.

Pages for planning your goals and routine.
Track your progress and carve out time for writing, even on the busiest days.

I know first-hand about delayed dreams.
I’m Rae, a product designer and sci-fi author currently querying my first novel.
I first started using planners back when I was stuck in a toxic job. I was burned out and not living the life I dreamed of. Instead, I was wasting my time, my energy, and my life chasing things that weren’t for me.
I knew I needed a way out.
For me, my way out was a planner. While I was stuck in my job, I was using my planner to build my other life, each page getting me closer to a way out.
I haven’t always been a planner person. I’m a tech designer. Even though my job is to create digital tools, I never stuck with productivity apps. Paper planners are the only productivity system I've actually stuck with for years.
But I couldn't find a planner designed specifically for writers. I’ve tried all of the business-y planners but my creative brain wanted more.
I wanted an accountability planner designed just for creatives. So I made one.
I'm excited that this will also eventually be a keepsake for me, of my writing journey, that I'll be able to look back on years from now and see how my process and life has changed.

I was at first skeptical if these templates could address all I needed & if I could get used to adjusting dates etc in paper & pen. However, I have really enjoyed the ritual and rigor that it’s brought to my writing routine.

There were so many elements to the planner that are very useful to my everyday writing life, personal life, and content creation.

It takes into account everything that being a writer is about and we're about more than just words.

FAQ
What if I’m not a planner person?
I get it. I have a tech designer background. Apps can be great for your professional life, but I’ve never found them to be effective when it comes to creative endeavors. As a novelist, I find the tactile experience of a physical planner to be far more engaging and effective. It’s the only thing that works for me. Plus, research shows that you’re 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down. (That’s according to a study by Dr. Gail Matthews at Dominican University in California.)
Is this just another planner?
Sure, there are lots of novel-planning planners out there. Or planners designed for school or work. But this is the only planner on the market specifically designed to give writers accountability. It’s also the only planner on the market created by a writer, for writers.
But I am chaos personified. A planner won’t work for me!
You just haven’t tried the right planner yet. I’m a chaotic creative, too. I’ve tried lots of planners, and while they were effective, none of them were quite right for a writer’s needs. Some planners are all about habit tracking, some are for creative expression, and some are designed to organize your ideas. This one combines all three types, so it gives you everything you need to stay organized – no matter how chaotic your life is.
But I'd ruin this planner, it's too pretty to write in.
It’s meant to be written in! Don’t worry about marking it up; it's supposed to be! A planner only works when you use it – if it just sits on your desk all pristine and pretty, then it’s not helping you.
I buy journals and planners, but I never use them.
I used to have a collection of unused journals and planner too but it took finding the right layout and set up for me to make use of them. Ultimately, I can’t control whether you use this planner or not – but I can say with confidence that this is one planner you’ll actually want to use.
The Word x Word Planner helps you finish your novel faster.
